Bear Cat Charm, "Bear" is an adorable 16hh, 2012 OTTB Gelding.  He has been off the track since 2015.  He was primarily a trail horse/lawn ornament until April of 2017.  He retired sound and with no injuries, he has been allowed to finish growing and mature before pursuing a new career.

Bear has a solid work ethic and has had all of the necessary ground work completed to find and build up the correct muscles.   He has no buck, bite, kick or rear in him. He has a puppy dog/in your pocket type personality but will walk away when asked to do so.  He is quiet walk, trot and canter under saddle and is steady doing simple courses.  He is currently schooling 2'6"-3'.  He has been to two shows this spring, with plans for more. He has also been trailered to and schooled at different facilities and is as predictable as he is at home. He has completed 25 mile trail rides with ease and has had plenty of energy the next day for low jumping lessons.

I have been using Bear in my small lesson program for just over a year.  He has had everyone on him from 6yo beginners to insecure young adults to older, more experienced riders and he is mannerly for everyone.  He is will listen to everyone and do what is asked of him, he is an amazing confidence builder for the insecure or beginner jumper!  He is an easy and willing ride that will not give more until the rider is ready for it. He has the heart and movement that can take someone up the levels, and he is easy enough that an intermediate rider can do it under the guidance of a trainer.

I feel that Bear would do best as an eventer, hunter - field or ring, dressage or lesson horse.  He thrives on regular work and does wonderfully working 3-5 days a week.  He can hang out for a week or two and be calm when you are ready to ride, however, he does best when that is not a habit.

He stands for vet and farrier, loves baths, stands tied or in cross ties as well as loads and trailers.  He is UTD on farrier, deworming as well as vaccines and coggins.

Please contact me for additional information or to see this handsome boy! His price will increase with more show experience.
