Intern Job Summary:

Great Meadow Foundation, a fast-paced 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, located in The Plains, VA is seeking an energetic and responsible intern to join our team. We are looking for individuals to intern in the fields of Event Management, Marketing, and Turf Management. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures. Assist different staff members in the fields of Operations, Office Management, Marketing & Promotion, and Fundraising during a variety of events. Great Meadow's busy event schedule consists of the Virginia Gold Cup, 4th of July, Twilight Polo, and many other equestrian and non-equestrian events. Intern Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve as a brand ambassador for the Great Meadow Foundation
Create and manage digital marketing & social media campaigns
Assist in Sales
Database Management
Participate in all aspects of event planning including but not limited to set up, day of operations, and break down.
Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks
Answer phone inquiries and provide basic company information
Perform clerical duties
Run general industry related errands

Intern Requirements and Qualifications:

Positive and outgoing attitude
Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
Ability to take direction and multi-task
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-directed and able to work without supervision
Event operation experience a plus
E-ticketing experience a plus
Adobe Creative Cloud experience a plus
