Equine professional with over twenty years experience working with various establishments seeking employment within an hour of the Lynchburg area.
In my time working with horses, I have performed a range of roles from camp counselor to stable manager. I have worked with horses of all breeds, ages, experience and disciplines. My clients have ranged from four stall private barns to large scale show operations. I have working knowledge of horse ailments, medications, supplements, feeds, vaccines, etc. I also have experience mucking stalls, cobwebbing, administering shots, teaching, training, show prepping, transporting, clipping, and other duties related to someone who wishes to pursue a career in the horse field.
Currently, I am searching for a role within a barn community (of any size) leaning more towards day to day operations, ie. barn hand, assistant manager, manager, etc. Though I have taught several disciplines in the past, I am not currently looking to teach or train horses unless it was the right fit. I am not seeking a live-in position nor a position that requires traveling. My salary is also negotiable.
