Worried about upcoming pasture changes and laminitis risk? Boarding at a track system, all of that worry goes away. We have up to 3 open spots (+1 spot for a mini) available for the right horses and owners. Most of our herd is in retirement and hoof rehabilitation.
Here's a sample of what boarding looks like here:
-Horse friendly diet that's low in starch, plentiful in hay, and supplemented with vitamins and salt. No soy, wheat, beet pulp, or other products in their feed if we can help it! (Glyphosate and heavy metal toxicity - that's a topic for another time.)
-Owners live on site and feed twice daily. Owners have 20+ years of horse experience.
-Farm cameras are available for horse owners to check on their horse at any time via livestream app.
-Wellness checks and monthly weight tape to help monitor overall well-being. Horses are often photographed to monitor changes in muscle and condition.
-Skilled farriers thoroughly vetted. Owners will start offering trims as an extra hourly service come Spring 2027. Horses are all barefoot here for safety and health. Happy to work with your horse to apply therapeutic boots or glue on shoes.
-Collaboration with vet and other practitioners as needed. Happy to hold horses for services (as long as the horse is safe to handle).
-Limited grazing available - a few horses here now graze in the early mornings for a couple hours before returning to the track.
-Blanketing in the winter as needed and fly spray/gear applied in the heat. We also commonly curry in Coat Defense for the retirees after a big rain to help fight funk. Supplements and medications fed as needed.
-Horses are allowed to be horses and move freely and make their own choices and be with their best friends.
-The everyday odd requests as needed! We do offer rehab options and other services at an hourly rate.
-Your horse does something cute or funny? We snap a photo and send you a picture if we catch them in the act.
We are looking for horses and owners that want to stay long term. Each new horse goes through quarantine (where they can see but not touch other horses) and herd integration and this is a process we put a lot of thought into for everyone's safety. Many horses take 3-6 months to adjust to life on track and a full year for their body to detox and start rebuilding muscle in the right places.
If needed, your horse can have stall board for an additional fee. We understand that this is needed in some rehab and emergency cases. We are happy to discuss options with you so your horse gets the care YOU want them to have.
If you think your horse is a good fit, please reach out to us. We'd love to talk more. Please visit our website for more information on boarding & additional pictures. Please call or send a text to inquire: (540)-471-0839. Thank you!
