Two board spots open at a small barn convenient to Harrisonburg, Bridgewater, and Weyers Cave area. Quiet, affordable, well kept. Wonderful board "family", looking to bring in a new boarder or two. Most boarders have been here for 10+ years! All the amenities needed, nothing overly fancy, priding ourselves on a down-to-earth and drama free facility. Mixed herd, live out 24/7, brought into individual stalls to eat dinner before being turned back out. (If other arrangements are needed they can generally be accommodated). Herd ranges from 4-22yo. All breeds welcome! Currently 6 horses boarded.
The owners live on the property and check horses regularly throughout the day. Facility is well maintained and clean. Locker provided for boarder. Boarders range from trail riders, just for fun, and showing. Several have small kids who ride and show as well. Very inclusive friendly atmosphere of people who just want to enjoy their horses in a safe and fun environment.
Facilities include:
-Open style barn, with 9 stalls and run-in areas in front of the stalls, opened when needed due to weather.
-Multiple fields to rotate grazing.
-Large wood board round pen.
-Turf footing ring with jumps. We also regularly ride in the fields, or hack down the quiet roads.
-Board fencing for the majority of the fields, wire fencing on the back, and a small amount of electric splitting the fields.
-Grain included, 12% sweet feed. If other grain is preferred it must be provided by owner, and will be fed based on owner specifications.
-Round bale hay provided in the field during winter, hay also fed individually in teh stalls in the evening at dinner time.
-Large individual lockers to store tack.
-Lessons available: English or basic horsemanship.
