Sundance Manor Farms LLC offers a number of services to the equestrian community and aspiring equestrians. In additional to our Riding Academy, we offer training, boarding, horse sales, and breed quality American Saddlebred horses. We currently offer two locations convenient to US 460, east and west of Roanoke, VA.
Our Thinking Horsemanship lessons are customized to each rider. They include elements of horse and rider psychology and physiology. Lessons include grooming and after-care because we believe that in order to practice good horsemanship, these skills are as important as learning to ride. We specialize in Showmanship and Saddle Seat Equitation and but also teach basic Stock Seat Equitation and Hunter Seat Equitation. We also offer lessons in pleasure and show driving.
Proper equitation is the foundation of all good riding, for show or pleasure. Developing proper form initially, or even improving it when more experienced, better prepares the rider for a lifetime of safe riding experiences. The goal of our program is to develop the judgment and skills to ride/drive increasingly more challenging horses.
Our Riding Academy provides a horse suitable for any skill. Depending on skill level, our active riders also have opportunities to trial ride (ride to the Jefferson National Forest from one of our locations), exhibit at horse shows, participate in clinics, and more - all without the expense and risk of owning their own horse! Horse owners are also welcome in our program. An Amateur Owner Trainer may prefer to ride their own horse in lessons or improve their skills on one of our fantastic academy horses.
As a horse trainer, we will evaluate your horse's suitability for the chosen discipline and progress at the horse's rate of development. This allows the horse to have a happily productive life for us. Check out our website or contact us for more information.
