North Slope Stable in Bluemont, Va has just expanded to another beautiful farm, Ohana Equestrian Preserve in Aldie, VA off of Highway 15. Ohana is just minutes from Leesburg, Middleburg, Chantilly, and easily accessible from DC. Our farm offers lessons, sales, training, show coaching, and board. Head trainer Sonya Crampton, who has competed several horses at the CCI**** level of Eventing, has also very successfully shown Hunters, Jumpers, and Derby horses everywhere from Spruce Meadows and Kentucky, to New York, WEF, and Ocala. She has won hundreds of ribbons on Baby Green hunters, Derby horses, Grand Prix horses, Event horses and everything in between. Two of her students qualified for the Olympics, and she also coached a very successful Team Alberta at the NAYRC two years running. She brings a wealth of educational experience to her lesson and training system, which is communicated with thoughtfulness, compassion, clarity, and humor, emphasizing strong dressage fundamentals as well as jumping technique.
Ohana can accommodate up to 20 horses with 18 paddocks for either private or group turn out. In the viewing room there is a restroom and laundry. The barn has matted 12X12 stalls, 2 wash stalls with hot water, 4 grooming stalls, and 3 heated tacks rooms. Both grooming/ wash stalls have overhead heaters great for the bitter cold days. The barn is also insulated, so it is a warm in the winter and cool in the summer. There is both a 100X200 indoor and 20X60 dressage size outdoor arena with Attwood TerraNova Footing. We handle the vet, farrier, worming, therapeutic work as needed, and feed Cavalor feed.
